A Message From The Founder, Over a Blue Hawaiian

I don't have much time to write. Think of this as just a message in a bottle, tossed in the waves and carried to the sandy shore where you pick it up and find it like a message from a long-lost friend. No, it's not exactly buried treasure but if you take it to heart...it might be worth more than gold. What I say to you, I say to myself as well. I say to everyone. We are all riding these waves together.
I am losing daylight quickly. I have a lot I wish to tell you and not much time. I wasted too many years trying to be someone that I thought the world wanted me to be. Trying to conform to the opinion of people that never cared to begin with. It's a game I couldn't win. And I wrote myself a note this evening. The sun is setting on the horizon now. I know what the world wants, but I don't have to conform to the world's ideas. It's okay to let go of the expectations. It's hard to carry those weights of who they think I should be. Instead I trade it all in. Dare to be who you are. Go for it. You don't need someone else's permission.

Above all they wanted me to conform. They tried to tell me to stand up, sit down, go to school. Read our books they said. Don't be a fool. They wanted me to be quiet and just do as they say. Well, I didn't want a false prophet or fool to lead my way. I looked at their books and decided that ain't for me. I preferred the beach. And I don't know about you, but I'm here to rock the boat a little bit. Hey, if I have to, if they force me to, I might even bite like a shark.
But for all you Shark Country Survivors, if you're going through a storm... just relax. I've been through a lot of them and look at me. I'm still here. But it helps to have a really good friend, or two. Oh yeah, and a Blue Hawaiian every now and then doesn't hurt either. All I can say is the plan is approaching the shore now like a tsunami. I'm not sure it can be stopped, if I have your help that is.
